Another Strange Dream
Note: The following story sat in my OneNote for a little over a year. It was about the time I was organizing and adding notes to my book outline. I've had some strange and interesting dreams since. Some of those dream segments ended up in the book.

I got up this morning, got dressed and started my day. I felt as if there was something off, but no matter, I was on a roll. I get myself a breakfast shake, a coffee and sit down to write. What seemed like a few minutes, I finished my blog story.
My alarm on my phone goes off.
Time to wake the kids.
I tried to look for my phone, but I couldn't find it. My alarm continues to beep, getting louder (it's set to increase the volume gradually). Concerned that it might wake up my husband, I look over to his side and see that he is gone. I go to the front of the RV to find that all of my kids were gone.
I opened the door to go outside, and I see that we parked in some parking lot. At this point, I realized that I was dreaming and force myself awake.
One of those dreams.
It was early in the morning. I tried to look for my phone to check the time but still couldn't find it. It probably fell onto the side of the bed, but I didn't want to be bothered to get it. I was too tired. I rolled onto my back and closed my eyes. Then I heard the familiar jingle of my husband getting his work pants on. I opened my eyes, but it is still dark. It was so dark that I couldn't see the skylight.
I felt the sense of dread that I've felt in previous dreams. I already knew what was happening. I force myself awake. This time the Sun was up, and I looked out the window. In the window was a familiar face. I could not figure out where I've seen that face. I didn't even know what gender this person was. (S)he just stood there, looking at me.
This time my phone alarm went off. I woke up, for real this time, but it took a few minutes before I realize that I wasn't dreaming again. My 3-year-old had crawled into bed with us. My husband was lightly snoring. The other kids were right where they are supposed to be.
