                                                Consumer Behaviorism

I’ve been posting blogs on Minds for about a year now and I have notices some interesting trends, some of which could be the subject of some Evolutionary Psychology study in consumer behaviorism. I thought I would share these observations with you guys. Maybe someone will be interested by this.

When you post something on a social media platform, such as this one, it would seem that less is more. Some of the first presentations I posted were on average 40 pages long. This only allowed me to look at an issue from all angles and to support my affirmation with arguments. However, with 40 pages, you don’t have enough room to add stats, results and graphics to support my claims. Of course, I could link them at the end of the presentation, but I know that no one will look at my sources. People seem completely satisfied with the knowledge that the sources are there. This means that I must be telling the truth. For all you know, these might be links to porn sites. Thus, I stated my sources directly in the text, encouraging people to read more on the topic.

The less is more argument is also supported by the fact that most people look at memes, which is a single image, very often it is comical, that is used to express an idea of a message. You cannot say much in an image and usually people are only looking for confirmation bias in memes anyways. They are not trying to gain any new points of views.

To my disappointment, most people do not read 40 pages texts. So I decided to reduce the size of my presentations. I came to the conclusion that the ideal size of a presentation is between 4 or 5 pages. I've been thinking of starting my new presentations with a 250 words summary where I make assertions and tell my conclusions. Then people can read the rest of the text if they want to see the arguments I make to support my claims.

I also noticed that people did not read all the text unless I added images. I wouldn’t be surprised if most people stopped reading after the second paragraph of this blog. It is a good thing that I am not monetized, because most of the images are copied from Google images. What can I say, I am knowledgeable in many topics; Photoshop is not one of them.

Another observation that is interesting is the thumbnail you must use to get noticed. If you want people to click on your presentation you need to catch their eyes immediately or they will keep on scrolling pass your post. 2 things seem to be extremely successful in thumbnails: comedy and naked women. I'm certain that at some point someone will understand that if he combines those 2 elements together he will make the ultimate thumbnails. This is a problem when your presentation isn’t about comedy or nudes. I'm certain people will get pretty upset if the thumbnail is a pair of boobs and once they click they get an essay on nutrition (however, I think I could find a way to fit those 2 topics together =P).

Another way to catch people's eyes is to use political or shocking images for your thumbnails. We all know that images of Trump or Merkel will get you some clicks. There is nothing wrong with that. A lot of people have something to say about current event. Images of burning flags, soldiers dying and 9/11 seem to work as well. I'm starting to believe that people have a taste for disaster and the macabre. This is very tempting for someone in a field related to biology. I could show images of dissections and stuff that will make people lose their lunch. But for some reason I think that might not be a good idea =P.

Now let's talk about the elephant in the room, confirmation bias. Most people go read an article because they want someone repeating to them the exact same thing they already believe. I noticed this right away when I posted my third presentation. A lot of people read my first and second presentation which talked about the current state of the Western World from a scientific perspective and provided some solutions to address the problem. Yet the third presentation that talked about ways to make debates more efficient was almost ignored. So this made me curious. I made presentations that talked about a wide array of topics and what I've noticed is that most people only want to read about the culture war. This culture war has become an obsession on all sides of the political spectrum. This topic is like a big neon light and people are drawn to it like moths. I get that this is a critical issue of our time, but it is not the only issue. One thing that is sure is that many content creators love to milk that cow. The only thing the content creators have to do is to post 2 or 3 videos a day repeating the same things over and over again about this culture war and they will get tons of views.

Something else I have notice is that you might attract one type of crowd with one presentation and alienate the same crowd with another presentation. For example, if I talk about the culture war, I will get a shitload of Trad-Cons and pseudo-NAZIs to read my essay (for some reason these 2 groups love the same things and hate each other at the same time... go figure) and then, if I make a presentation about men's rights, which will piss the people that liked the other presentation. Personally I don't give 2 shits if people like me or not. Most people I have met throughout my life hate me and it stopped bothering me decades ago. I do not write these presentations to win a popularity contest; I write them because I have purpose and this cause is more important than my ego. The fact that no one liked my presentation about the abuse of men is a good sign. It means that I'm not preaching to the converted, I'm talking to the people who are ignoring the issue and these are the people who need to hear the issue the most. I had friends that sucked on shotguns because of this issue; I had friends who became socially isolated and gave up on all their dreams and aspirations because of this kind of abuse; I have friends that are drug addicts and live on the streets because their lives have been destroyed by women; I have met countless entrepreneurs that have lost the business they have built with their blood and sweat, who now live in a one room apartment and have no access to their children because of this fucking corrupt system. Do you really think I give a shit if I offend for deep-shit Trad-Con? Trad-Con are no better than fucking leftists. They have no problem throwing as many men they need in the grinder in order to keep the current system functioning. They are the cocksuckers who want endless wars in the world and support nation building. They are the assholes who push for mandatory conscription for men. They are the ones who promote male disposability. Trad-Cons are the enforcers behind the gynocentric system. They are the enablers of the feminist movement. Without them to cater and white knight to women the feminist movement would be all bark and no bite. These assholes line up to beat up innocent men whenever a woman cries. The only reason they attack the feminist movement now is because they have become the target. But you will always hear Trad-Cons trying to convince feminists to come back to their side. Dude, they can suck my fucking balls.

If you doubt what I say is true, find a Trad-Con in a comment section and throw some MGTOW talking points at him. He is going to express how women are the center of his life, he is going to tell you that he is ready to sacrifice at the altar of vagina at a moment’s notice and then he is going to threaten to beat the living shit out of you.

Ok, it would seem I got off topic again =P.

I also have to add that it in order for your presentation to be read you need to boost your presentation so it will remain in the top post. You wouldn't believe how much scenery pics and boobs pics I had to up vote to get the tokens to boost my presentations. Up voting boobs is a hard job, but somebody has to do it =P.

I've also noticed that if you up vote your own video, other people are more likely to up vote your video as well. It is the trick used by churches. They put a few dollars in the tipping jar to incite other people to do the same. It is a way to use peer pressure in order to push people to be more generous. If your presentation has more thumbs up, people are more likely to read it.

Anyways, these are some of the observations I made. I hope you find that amusing.
