Okay, one last blog before I step off my soap box.
A design principle I really love is KISS: Keep It Simple, Stupid.
A common fault that we in the computer business have is the assumption that everybody else is like us. Wrong! Other people are definitely not like us and we tend to forget that.
It's a lot better to do fewer things and do them well. Most other people want things simple and easy to use. They don't care about other features that we think are important.
It's important for Minds to keep its eyes on the ball: people use social media to interact and communicate with others. They are happy with fewer capabilities which are simple and easy to use.
Oh, and one more thing: communication!
I'm always perplexed that companies (including Minds) forget this. Customers don't really care whether the communications is bad or good. Customers just want to be informed about what's going on that affects them.
