Pay It Forward

This is one of my life stories which I just remembered.

We (my wife and 2 very young boys - before my daughter was born) were attending a July 4th party. It was a big party with a lot of people (we didn't know half of them) and kids.

The kids were having fun in the swimming pool with the parents supervising and drinking. Lunch was soon ready and we were all called to eat the plentiful food. While eating, a young boy came by to say someone was floating at the bottom of the pool motionless.

After verifying that boys were okay, I quickly ran to the pool where I saw the lifeless body in the deep end. I jumped in feet first with everything on including my shoes. I reached the motionless body of a young boy and made it to the surface.

I'm glad that there were people to help lift the body out of the pool because there is no way I would have been able to do it by myself. The boy was very lucky that there was a doctor attending the party who knew what to do. I admit I wouldn't have known what to do. The doctor was able to revive the boy and saved his life.

I don't remember the boy's name and it isn't that important to me. What is important to me is that he would do the same thing for anyone in dire need, pay it forward.
