Thinking the wrong way
around
Everybody in the world, with few exceptions, maybe fifty
thousand - of which you are about to become one - thinks the wrong way
around.
Most people think with a goal in mind: How can I achieve that aim, materially or ideologically - even scientifically?
That instantly and ultimately taints and therefore corrupts the outcome. Science itself is in the business about falsifying it's own previous results - which were indisputable at the time, just as the new results are when presented.
Thinking in reverse, this means that a great part of what we now hold to be undeniable and indisputable 'scientific' truths, will one day be debunked as false assumptions.
As in money spent on advertisement, half of it could be useless - and we cannot know which half.
But we do know that we will know.
But not today.
Sum ergo Cogito
It may be sufficient to think therefore to exist, necessary it is not, or else there would be nothing in creation.
You think because you are. You decide because you feel.
To think this is natural for human beings - precisely because they think:
As they, necessarily, look outward from inside, they somehow perceive themselves as the center of everything. They think that because they think, not only that they are, but that they are the ones creating their surroundings.
This is natural for all beings. Think Zebra, think Termite, think Bacteria: Do they see themselves that way, as far as they are able to? Of course they do. Why should humans be an exception? Think your dog, your cat, your pet.
Pure hubris.
For if every entity is the creator of it's own surroundings, nothing is.
Think in reverse - but think logically.
People not only think that they are the center of everything (and their God is - or Gods are - therefore specifically about them), they once also took it for granted that their little world was at the center of everything - thus making it special.
But those who studied the heavens could not make heads nor tails of it, ever since they had moved on from astrology - which, by the way, gave us the pyramids and other lithic arrangements; but, alas, the Earth's axis moves…
But when finally the blasphemy of Copernicus and Galileo - and later, of the US and Soviet Space programs - ripped the Earth from the Center of Everything to an indifferent location in indefinable surroundings, did that make it less precious, miraculous and fragile? In other words: did it change the Earth's uniqueness? No. Why should it? Would the discovery of other worlds change this one's uniqueness? Of course not. Your kin do not change you.
See? What is, is; you cannot change it. What you can change is your perception of what is, and your deeds in consequence. Neither fighting nor accepting reality changes that, what is. So does astronomy change the conceptions of astrology? No. Why should it? The universe is endless; endless means not limited to one, nor many.
Think the reverse of what you think, and do not limit your thinking; your logic is not there for constriction.
When Mendelejew and Meyer separately began writing down the table of the elements, thus putting into human conceptual order of what there is in nature, they changed the world - and that is not a contradiction to what I said before - again, do do not restrict yourself; the chemistry of the universe was now possible to understand, and pursue. Did that change the concepts of alchemy? No; of course not. Why should it? The successful experiments of the alchemists remain successful, the unsuccessful ones remain unsuccessful. Why should that change, just because you now think differently?
Think the reverse of what you think, and do not limit your thinking; your logic is not there for constriction.
When Albert Einstein changed the concept of time, he changed the world - and that, again, is not a contradiction to what I said before - do not restrict yourself; space travel was now possible, even leaving the limitations of the Earth's gravitational field, without instantly losing all orientation. Does that in any way diminish the success of those ancient builders of chronometers, or those that employed them to travel the unchartered seas? Of course not. Why should it? The successful voyages of the seafarers of old - all seafarers of old - all remain successful. Why should that change, just because our concept of time, under certain circumstances, has changed?
When the concept of the world as a sphere took two, or more, thousands of years to replace the concept of it as a plane for trade and travel, does that change your perception of the world as a plane when you are plowing a field or crossing a lake? No. Why should it?
Again: Think the reverse of what you think, and do not limit your thinking; logic is not there for constriction.
