Using your own seeds in an Aerogarden

This is a fairly simple process. You need an iron, the pods, sponges, light shields, and terrarium lids.

The pods and terrarium lids can be used again and again, but you can get all of these in bulk anyways.

so first you turn your iron on to Cotton

Then put a sponge in the pods, and try to center the paper shield on top...which you then gently press the iron on until the seal melts. (you may need to re position it, which is okay...then just heat it again)

You can write on the paper too, I just didn't, because mine are all lettuce.

Next, I put the pods into the water filled garden to let the sponges soak. (excuse the dust, haha)

Once they are wet, I add about 3 seeds in each with tweezers. There is an indent to add the seeds...

Once the seeds are in the pods, the rest is done as if you purchased seed pods. Put them back in the garden, and add the terrarium lid.

Soon you will see sprouts, and you take the terrarium lid off when the plant reaches the top. Then let them grow...

It is super simple. A little work, but about 0.50 for 12 pods (or so), vs 12.00 to 19.00...
