MINDS, changed how the uploads work..
At first, we could upload anything we wanted in any format and length. Then..... Without any kind of notice, we were limited to no more than 30 minutes and under 1Gb in size.
Now, 1Gb is defined as 1024Mb.. THAT, is an absolute in the realm of computers.. However, if I try to upload anything larger than 900Mb, the progress bar goes allllll the way.. It turns green meaning the upload is complete and ready to go...
I go to the next step and *POOF* .. No fucking video. Every dammed time..Doesn't matter if I use the "paperclip" on the status window or if I use https://www.minds.com/capture ..
Doesn't matter if I drag a file to the window, or use the paperclip there either..
At first, I thought it was me.. I thought I was doing something wrong or using a format that the render engine didn't like..
For WEEKS... I was pulling my hair out and trying all kinds of different formats and frame rates / sizes. NOTHING was going through..FINALLY, I gave in and posted in the Help and Support group.
It was only then I found out the coding had been changed and we were given parameters..
HAD someone said something.. Had there been a notice posted somewhere, I would have followed the new regulations and not gone insane trying to figure it out..
They could have even put a single line in the Capture screen stating what the limits were..... SOMETHING..
@John says that this is temporary and eventually we'll go back to the old formula and I certainly hope that happens..
But until then, I'll just stay within the parameters we've been given..I do find it annoying that even though he says we're given 1Gb as an upload size, files that are over 900Mb are failing pretty consistantly.
I think we're being shorted by whichever coder put the limits in.....
