Amarillo NAACP Chapter Supports Woman Responsible for Filling Prisons with Black Individuals for Open AISD Slot

According to the Amarillo Pioneer, the Floyd Anthony, the President of the Amarillo NAACP Chapter, is recommending Claudia Stuart to fill the vacancy on the Board of the Amarillo Independent School District created when James Allen resigned.

According to the article, these are Claudia Stuart's qualifications:  "Stuart is a teacher and organization director. Stuart has served as regional coordinator of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program for Panhandle Regional Planning Commission, a probation officer and as a regional director for Texans War on Drugs. She also served as an instructor at West Texas A&M University."

The internet is FILLED with documentary evidence that the war on drugs was inherently racist.  Arguably, the most authoritative work on the subject is the book, The New Jim Crow, by Michelle Alexander.

In fact, the infamous Tulia Drug Bust happened just 51 miles from Amarillo and was exposed by an Amarillo attorney.  Check out some of the coverage here.
