Corrupting the Minds of Children

I've been thinking about something over the past couple of days, after seeing videos from a US School Board meetings, such as a video from Clark County, NV, where a mother is addressing the board about a piece of work her 15 year old daughter was assigned. I hope I wouldn't be alone in saying that such an assignment is completely inappropriate for a 15 year old to be assigned. Here in the UK, that student is either in year 10, or year 11. And it must be asked why a teacher thought it appropriate to assign that to any student, even one who's, say, in year 12 or 13 (age 16-18). And do you know what the kicker is? The mother was cut off by the chairwoman after she said "d**k" (which was *in* the assignment!), probably because she knows how vulgar and inappropriate it is in a school setting.

And that's not the only example I've seen this week alone. There's another, this time from Colorado, concerning the book "Gender Queer". Again, the parent addressing the Board was cut off by its members Board due to vulgar language, and the parent was *reading* from the book. So again, if it's too vulgar, and too inappropriate to be read out in front of the School Board, why is it in a school? And here's some of the pages from that book/

How is this acceptable *at all* for use in a school? Just as (I would expect) that schools have filters to stop students from accessing p**n on the school computers, I would expect that books like this not be admitted to schools' collections, whether they be for use in a classroom, or be kept in the school's library But there's yet another book, one that's either just as disturbing, or perhaps even more disturbing, considering the age range at which it is targeted. It's called "My Body is Growing", and it's aimed at 4 to 8 year olds (Reception to Year 3). Again, I find it absolutely astonishing that this book is seen as anywhere near suitable for children, especially those within the age range it is targeted at, given the kind of material contained within it.

And I also fear that a teacher may look at its cover and see it as acceptable for her class to read, while she neglects to go through the book and actually check its contents for acceptability, especially so given the rather fluffy title. Maybe that's a ploy to get it into schools, but I hope school staff look through it with a rather critical lens to ensure that it doesn't enter circulation in a school. Quite frankly, I find all of this absolutely disgusting. Perhaps it actually goes beyond that, beyond merely "depraved", and into the realm of "degenerate". 

Yes, really, I'm starting to believe that teachers, especially in the US are teaching the children under their instruction rank degeneracy. I don't think I used that term much until these past 6 months or so, when I've been seeing more and more of this kind of material Actually, make that "these past 6 months" this past year, when 16 and 17 year old students at an elite prep school in NYC students were taught "p**n literacy". Yet again, why are students being taught this? And no, I don't care that they would be in Year 12 over here. It is still absolutely disgusting in my mind that this kind of material has been allowed to work its way into a school. And if it doesn't get any worse, 1. Graders in another NYC prep school were taught about *masturbation*. THESE CHILDREN ARE 6 AND 7 YEARS OLD! At that point, it has firmly crossed from merely being disgusting, blown straight past being debauched, and flown straight into being completely *degenerate*. Students in year 2 should know nothing about this.

 Oh, and don't think that this kind of thing is restricted to the US It's also crossed the Pond and made its way to Belgium, where 10 year old students were given information on *s*x toys* (Yes, really). WHY??? I can't quite believe that this would be seen as OK in *any* way by school staff, or by those responsible in education departments for commissioning it. Luckily, there haven’t been any reports of these kinds of material (at least to my knowledge) being used in UK schools, but I won’t be surprised when one comes out (edit: It actually has).

And let’s say it’s 2040 and I have, say, an 11-year old. Am I going to glance over his shoulder when he’s doing his homework, and find out that he’s been learning about B**M? And if I did find that out, would I be shut down by his school’s headmaster or headmistress, and told it’s not my business what my child is being taught? Of course, at the moment, I don’t have children, but with the things I’m seeing coming out of schools, I’m starting to think that incidents like that hypothetical one will become “perfectly” normal, and that children will be taught all kinds of absolutely degenerate things day in and day out And quite honestly, I’ve started to change my mind somewhat on the Muslim Moms in Birmingham. Maybe, just maybe, they had a point. Maybe they were onto something, and the rest of society didn’t pick up on it.

But it gets worse, a lot worse. Not content with filling children’s minds with absolute rank degeneracy, schools in the US are also filling their minds with disgraceful ideas about race, such as that all white people are racist (and they don’t even know it) And not only that, they are separating students based on their race for “affinity groups”. 

Why? What good does this do? And unlike the degenerate material found in schools in the US, that hasn’t been found in schools here (edit, it has, wtaf??!), this kind of material *has* made its way to schools here, such as the American School in London. After an OFSTED inspection, it was downgraded to “Requires Improvement”, after the inspectors found that it was putting “much more weight” on its social programme than on subject specific knowledge Is this seriously what children should be learning? In my opinion at least, it is absolutely not. Children should not be taught about racial hierarchies, and instead should be taught that one’s race has no inherent value, and instead, his thoughts, words and deeds have value. This, however, passed over the heads of education officials in Brighton thought it was acceptable for children as young as 7 to be taught that they are not “racially innocent” (what does that even mean?).

Thankfully, the Government got involved, and to the best of my knowledge, those plans did not go ahead But this raises some rather important questions. What if there wasn’t the public outrage as there was? What if this was still happening, as it may be in other parts of this country, just under the radar, especially in certain areas of London or Liverpool? And really, what are the goals of teaching children this kind of rubbish? To turn them into activists for certain (mainly hard left) political causes, as feared by one NYC parent? Or is it to whip students up into frenzies and encourage them to hate their own fellow students based on characteristics they can never control?

And when parents challenge the teaching of these kinds of ideas (as they should), what will the response be like? Will they be listened to, and their concerns taken seriously, or will they be placed on lists of “problem parents”, shut down, or worse, targeted outside of school, such as what happened in the US, thanks to the FBI and the current Attorney-General? Of course, threats and abuse against education staff should be dealt with, but given the current political climate, there is a massive risk that what counts as “abuse” will be taken rather broadly, also incorporating legitimate, polite, complaints, thereby having a chilling effect on them. Therefore all of this material *must* be removed from schools, and students must not be taught it. 

But given the stranglehold the hard left seems to have on education in the US (and to a slightly lesser extent here, on this side of the pond), I don’t think that will happen any time soon, and instead it will get even worse than it already is, despite the best efforts of politicians such as Nadhim Zawahi and Kemi Badenoch here, and Ron deSantis in the US to stamp it out, as well as organisations such as OFSTED And let’s go back to that hypothetical in 2040. What would happen if I found out that a child of mine had received a visit from a “k**kster”, and I (rightly) complained about it? Would I receive a visit from the police for it? Or would it be from MI5? And how many more parents would be in the same situation? 

I can only start to imagine the impact that will have on the image of teachers. Far from being the important imparters of vital knowledge and skills that will be useful to their students throughout their lives, will they instead be seen as evil people who are trying to corrupt the minds of children? In some parts of society, that image is already starting to take hold, and I can’t really say I’m surprised by this, all because of a certain small but rather influential number of individuals who don’t seem to be able to check themselves and ensure that they keep things that are disgusting or downright degenerate, or politically contentious, *out* of their classrooms. Thank God for all of the absolutely brilliant teachers who don’t do that, but some of their colleagues are ruining *their* image too.

 But this also raises a number of questions. What would happen if a teacher was to challenge the kinds of material I’ve mentioned? Would she then be looked down upon by her colleagues, even f she gives a lengthy and reasoned explanation as to why the material should be left out (for obvious reasons)? And with that image that teachers will slowly and (mostly) undeservedly receive owing to the kinds of material the children under their instruction may be subjected to, I doubt parents will feel able to have much trust in their children’s teachers, if any. Quite honestly, I think I might feel the same, unless I knew the teachers personally, such as one who I’m friends with in real life (she isn’t on this site). I know I’ll be able to trust her, but anyone else, probably not, if things continue the way they are, and this mind virus, the educational equivalent of Ebola or the Plague isn’t removed wholesale from schools. 

And I wouldn’t be surprised at all if political figures were to get even more muscular than they already are. Remember those Muslim Moms? Don’t be surprised if they come back with a vengeance. Don’t be surprised if they call for all SRE to be removed, not just at primary level, but also at secondary level, all thanks to those specific teachers and officials who seemingly have no problem filling students’ minds with absolute degeneracy and then corrupting them with ideas they should not be subjected to, mostly in the US, but possibly also here(but here they’re kept in check to some degree). Now imagine if a backbench MP called for teachers to be imprisoned for it. How many parents (and possibly even fellow teachers) would support that? Personally I’m not really sure I’d support it, and I lean more towards not doing it, at least at the moment. If I had a child, and found out that he was being taught things like in my hypothetical, then I probably might start to lean towards it, and what a shame that would be, again all because of some individuals who can’t check themselves. 

The imprisonment idea is indeed rather extreme, but with some of the material I’ve seen on this site, from accounts such as “LibsOfTikTok”, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was to become extremely popular among certain groups of parents and society at large. I wonder what the offence would be called. “Corruption of the minds of children”, maybe? And I doubt teaching unions will be happy with it, nor will teachers themselves, as well as education officials, but it will be of their own making, if the kind of material we’re seeing continues to sweep through our schools. 

So to finish, what should we do? Firstly, remove all of the kinds of material we’ve been starting to see over this past year or so. Secondly, put measures in place that ensure that it can’t enter the school environment, and thirdly, listen to parents, students and staff when they express discomfort at the kinds of material used to teach children, especially when it comes to moral or political topics, or when it’s related to sex education.

Of course, different individuals have different lines on what is acceptable and what is not, but there must be a line drawn, and it must be drawn now, before it becomes too late, and the minds of even more children are filled with inappropriate ideas in their schools.
