Colorado Springs

After Trinidad, The Jedi and the Wookie visited the Garden of The Gods, and wow was it breathtakingly beautiful. While we were dining on some pizza at the roof top garden, we met a really nice couple David and Myra. David had on a 101st Screaming Eagle jacket. I remarked Hooah (an army term for just about everything) and he replied what unit was you with soldier? I told him I was A Company 3/502 and he invited Chewy and I to the 101st reunion happening at the Elegante Hotel in Colorado Springs. I thought how nice and since the Wookie had no other plans we decided to go check it out. There were several nice older gentleman and ladies decked out in 101st army gear. After having a strong drink and chatting with my fellow soldiers, this heavily patched soldier offered to show us Colorado Springs properly. He had lived there for more than thirty years and gave us a ride to Edelweiss. It was a damn fine delicious German resturaunt. The Jedi and Wookie ordered some Schnitzel and our meal was paid for by our group. Soldiers taking care of soldiers. What a wonderful concept. They even let us stay at the Hotel Elegante, since we were low on credits. Our next stop is to visit with Luis and Jessica in Aurora, Colorado. A site of previous tragedy, where the Batman shooting happened. 

Sorry for posting after the events had happened. We have had some unforseen events happen on the road and were not able to have wifi within reach like I previously thought.
