Before we start, let us quickly recap to remind those that have forgotten or those who haven’t read my previous article that GigTricks is an exceptional project intends to bring about GigTricks, a freelancing platform that is set to help evolve the freelancing industry into the new age and solve the multitudes of problems currently being by parties involved in the freelancing industry. It is built on the blockchain and as such one of its major goals, among a host of others, will be to introduce the element of trust among all interacting parties. GigTricks marketplace: this is going to be the platform of choice for all those seeking to hire talents based on a contract basis and all those willing to be hired by those in need of their skill set in return for fees.
GigTricks Social: intended to provide an avenue for purposeful, productive and sometimes incentivized engagements between all the members of the freelancing community.
GigTricks Learning: intended to create a platform where professionals, tutors, mentors etc. can upload courses online and have students pay for them via GigBit tokens. Students have to pass an exam at the end of the courses to have the skill points gained added to their profile
GigTricks Pro: this is a platform for professionals to upload their resumes and have them reviewed by taking part in short exams to test their skill set. These exams could be in MCQs or qualitative essays. They are then marked with the help of AI algorithm and machine learning. The scores are then uploaded next to their skill and can be verified and accessed by anyone on the blockchain. Once professionals have passed these exams, the skill set he/she claimed to have is then uploaded as verified into his/her profile. However, just like some other services, a fee of GigBit tokens have to be paid to gain access (this they argue quite correctly helps deter spam and unserious freelancers with low-quality skill set).
GigTricks Point of Sale: arrangements are currently being made with institutions in over 180 countries where tutors can get paid in GigBit tokens for both online and offline courses posted on the platform. This offers international exposure to these tutors and widens their market. The freelancer can also be paid offline using this medium.
KEY FEATURES OF THE GIGTRICKS PLATFORM
Authenticated review system: transaction reviews are very important in the freelancing business as they give an idea of the subject’s history in past transactions and could affect how much trust he/ she is trusted by others going forward. As expected user reviews cannot be altered or tampered with in any form as a result of their presence on the blockchain. Also, GigTricks intends on collaborating with IBM to use the Watson™ tone analyzer and Watson™ natural language understanding to check for reviewer’s moods as at the time they were reviewing which helps better authenticate the review process.
Copyright: content creators on the platform can add inaudible bits of information to their content to help prevent piracy of their work.
Search engine: the presence of a search engine on the platform that will help users have access to information they need at a faster rate this will be used together with a taxonomy system that helps group related and relevant information.
Chat services: chat rooms will be available for the community to communicate with either as public forums or private chat sessions.
Adverts: with a large number of people that will be attracted to and willing to participate on this platform, the platform will then become a very wonderful advertisement platform for those that want to better market their skill sets, products and services.
