"Jane listened to the story from the old woman, with a mix of curiosity and horror. The hag frightened her but at the same time the tale was so captivating that she couldn't move to run. As she spoke, she moved around the room, preparing some nasty smelling brew. When she presented Jane with a cup of the steaming liquid, her every instinct was telling her not to drink it. The woman saw her hesitation and said in a heavy voice: "If you don't drink, you won't be able to see the story". The enigma didn't do much to pacify Jane's warning feeling. But, she wanted to listen to the tale, she wanted to know, so slowly she picked up the cup and brought it to her lips. After taking a few brave sips, she turned to face the old hag, but there was no hag. There was no table, no cabin, no woods. And there was no Jane..."
